 Meet Our Staff

Pastor Michael Murphy, Ed.D., BCPC

Pastor Michael Murphy is the Executive Director of Crossroads Community Counseling and is the Director of Pastoral Care for Crossroads Community Church. Pastor Mike has an EdD in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, an MA in Educational Ministries from Wheaton College, and a BA in Religious Studies from Concordia University College of Alberta,  Pastor Mike is also a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor issued by the International Board of Christian Counselors.

 

Deborah Heim, PsyD, LCP,BCPCC

Dr. Heim is the Clinical Director of Crossroads Community Counseling. She has over 20 years of  experience, in various settings, which includes dealing  with problems of addictions, depression, anxiety, stress management and woman’s issues, to name a few. Dr. Heim is currently providing Christian Counseling to individuals, couples, and families. She truly believes that change  cannot happen without God. Dr. Heim is also a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor.

 

Marjorie Archbold, MA, LCPC

Marjorie is a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She earned her Masters in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 1993. Marjorie has worked in hospital settings as well as outpatient. She has helped clients with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, and more. Marjorie provides individual, group and family therapy for children (6 years and older), adolescents, and adults.  Marjorie's approach is solution focused, and she encourages clients to draw upon spiritual resources to better cope with life's stressors.

 

Cindy Surges O’Donnell, MSW, LCSW, BCPCC 

Cindy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been working with individuals and families for the past 15 years.  Cindy earned her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois/Chicago in 1992   Cindy has experience helping clients with chronic/terminal illness, grief and loss, domestic violence, mood disorders, adjustments issues, marital counseling and more. In addition to working with individuals and groups, Cindy has a passion for the healing process of the 12 steps and works facilitating groups that incorporate the steps as well as Jesus into their recovery and healing.  Cindy is a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor.

Lynn Gullickson, M.A., LPC

Lynn Gullickson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and joined Crossroads Community Counseling in May 2008.  Lynn has provided individual and family counseling to children, adolescents, and adults, and she is particularly interested in the integration of the Christian faith and psychology.  Lynn’s passion is to work with Christians of all ages and backgrounds to facilitate healing and wholeness wherever brokenness has affected their lives.  Her previous experience includes working with clients struggling with addiction disorders, ADHD, child sexual abuse, mood disorders, and more.   Lynn received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College.

Tom Patton , MA., LPC  

Tom has been with Crossroads Community Counseling since April 2007 and has an MA in Counseling Ministry from Wheaton College. He has helped individuals and couples with life transitions, obstacles in relationships, and more. Tom has also recently worked as a hospital chaplain, led marriage workshops, and taught parenting classes. His previous career experience includes workplace coaching, systems improvements and farming. Tom is passionate about helping people to see and create new options in their lives.

 Anjelica Jackson, Intern

Anjelica is currently a Psy.D. student at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. She earned her B.A. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland after completing a study on family stressors. Her previous experience involved work with adolescents and emerging adults. Anjelica’s interests include marriage and family therapy, individuals and families in ministry, and self-care. She is passionate about seeing people fully embrace the healing power of God’s unconditional love.

Debi Colello, Office Manager

Debi was raised in the snow belts of western New York and worked for years taking care of patients in OB/Gyn, pediatrics and family practice. When husband Mark, and Debi moved to Albany she switched gears and worked for customer service and provider relations at Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Other moves gave her jobs in claims processing and provider credentialing.  She started at Crossroads Community Counseling by volunteering 2 days a week, and now she's the office manager. What could be better than serving God in a job you love, and applying all your job experiences?
