Pastor Michael Murphy, MA, BCPC
Pastor Michael Murphy is the
Executive Director of Crossroads
Community Counseling and is the Director of Pastoral Care for
Crossroads Community Church. Pastor Mike has a BA in Religious
Studies from Concordia University College of Alberta, an MA in
Educational Ministries from Wheaton College and is in pursuit of
an EdD in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.
Pastor Mike is also a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor issued
by the International Board of Christian Counselors.
Deborah Heim, Psy.D., LCP
Dr. Heim has 21 years of experience
in a wide variety of issues and settings and serves as the Clinical
Director of the Counseling Center. She spent 11 years in
private practice, dealing with problems including: addiction disorders,
depression, anxiety disorders, stress management, & women’s
issues, to name a few. For the last 5 years, Dr. Heim has provided individual, marital, family and
Christian counseling to pre-adolescents, adolescents and adults.
Valleria Forney-Williams, MSW, LCSW
Valleria has over 11 years working in mental health, developmentally
challenged, and child welfare settings. She continued her experience in
individual, family and group therapy while obtaining her Master's degree
at Aurora University. During the last five years, she has provided
consultation for clinically complex and problematic cases within the
child welfare system. While her particular interest is working with
childhood issues such as developmental and behavioral concerns, she also
provides spiritually based therapy to adults, and families. Working in a
Christian environment allows Valleria and those she counsels to further
enhance relationships, specifically with God and Christ Jesus.
Roselynn Miller, Psy.D.
Dr. Roselynn Miller joined Crossroads Community Counseling in
February of 2007. Her clinical training and experience lies in
working with children and adolescents with a variety of
attachment, trauma, behavioral and emotional difficulties. She
has worked with children in foster and substitute care as well
as providing services to adolescents with severe personality and
behavioral problems within the child welfare and juvenile
detention systems. In addition, Roselynn has provided
individual, family and group therapy to adults, couples and
families. She has a particular passion to bring Christ’s
healing and redemption to children and families who are
experiencing relational brokenness. Roselynn received her
Master’s degree and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from
Wheaton
College
Graduate
School.
Marjorie
Archbold, MA, LCPC
Marjorie has been with Crossroads since November 2005. She
earned her Masters in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois
School of Professional Psychology in 1993. Marjorie has worked
in hospital settings as well as outpatient. She has helped
clients with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment
disorders, and more. Marjorie provides individual, group and
family therapy for children (6 years and older), adolescents,
and adults. Marjorie's
approach is solution focused, and she encourages clients to draw
upon spiritual resources to better cope with life's stressors.
Cindy O’Donnell, MSW, LCSW
Cindy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been working with
individuals and families facing chronic and terminal illnesses for the
past 15 years. During this time Cindy has worked in different settings,
clinics, hospitals, hospices, and churches as well as doing individual
counseling. Cindy earned her Masters degree in Social Work from the
University of Illinois/Chicago in 1992 during that time she also worked
counseling women dealing with domestic violence. In addition to working
with individuals and groups, Cindy has a passion for the healing process
of the 12 steps and works facilitating groups that incorporate the steps
as well as Jesus into their recovery and healing.
Amy Garlinger, MSW, LSW
Amy joined Crossroads Counseling in November of 2004. Amy’s experience
includes doing individual, group, and family therapy through her
internships with the YWCA and Carol Stream Police Department. Before
obtaining her MSW at Aurora University, she spent time teaching and
coaching teenagers. Amy has a special interest in working with teenagers
and their parents and is especially excited about working in a Christian
setting because it allows for Jesus to be a part of the healing process.
Amy believes that working in a Christian setting allows her to focus on
the person as a whole—physical, emotional, and spiritual—which in
turn can bring about tremendous growth and healing.
Esther Pacheco, MA, LCPC
Esther joined Crossroads Counseling in
January 2007. She earned her Masters degree from Grace College (IN) in
2002. Esther worked for four years in community mental health, in both
inpatient and outpatient settings. She has helped children and adults
with depression, anxiety, grief, loss and adjustment disorders.
She has much experience in the areas of ADHD, addictions,
personality disorders, psychotic disorders and women’s issues. She
enjoys working with people individually as well as in a group setting.
Lynn Gullickson, M.A.,
LPC
Lynn Gullickson is a Licensed Professional
Counselor and joined Crossroads Community
Counseling in May 2008. Lynn
has provided individual and family counseling to children, adolescents, and
adults, and she is particularly interested in the integration of the
Christian faith and psychology. Lynn’s passion is to work with Christians of all ages and backgrounds to
facilitate healing and wholeness wherever brokenness has affected their
lives. Her previous experience
includes working with clients struggling with addiction disorders, ADHD,
child sexual abuse, mood disorders, and more.
Lynn
received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from
Wheaton
College
Graduate
School.
Pastor
Jim Semradek, MA
Jim
has been in pastoral ministry for 15 years, and has two Master’s degrees,
one in counseling and one in Biblical studies. Jim specializes in
marriage counseling, individual family of origin issues, and leadership
issues and their effect on the family. Jim has a wide variety of
experience in ministry and also the marketplace. He has served on
staff at Willow Creek in
Barrington
, Community Christian in
Naperville
, and Northland in
Orlando
. Jim also served in the public sector as a consultant with
Caterpillar, and also in defined benefits for Hewitt Associates. Jim
counsels with a passion for healing and freedom for individuals and
marriages.
Debi Colello, Office Manager
Debi was raised in the snow belts of western New York and worked for
years taking care of patients in OB/Gyn, pediatrics and family practice.
When husband Mark, and Debi moved to Albany she switched gears and
worked for customer service and provider relations at Blue Cross/Blue
Shield. Other moves gave her jobs in claims processing and provider
credentialing. She started at Crossroads Community Counseling by volunteering 2 days a
week, and now she's the office manager. What could be better than
serving God in a job you
love, and applying all your job experiences?
