 What to Expect

Appointments and Fees 

Appointments are made by calling the center at 630.428.1056. 

Members of Crossroads Community Church are able to meet with Pastor Mike for up to four sessions without charge. Additional sessions or sessions with nonmembers will be billed at at established fees per session. 

Crossroads Community Counseling accepts many forms of insurance and will work with your insurance company to obtain payment for services. You are ultimately responsible for the costs of care and we may ask you to communicate directly with your insurance company in some cases. 

For clients without insurance, Crossroads Community Counseling works very hard to offer sliding scale fee services, subject to therapist availability and the current financial resources.  Application for sliding fee services requires justification and proof of income.

First, and most importantly, we want your participation. You are the key to your own growth and healing. While a therapist may be able to suggest ways to move your life in positive directions, your active involvement is crucial to  the overall success of therapy. This   includes your willingness to assume the responsibility for the task of growth, your faithfulness in seeking to understand painful or threatening realities and your courage to take new and  bold steps toward a new future. If you passively wait for us to somehow change you, you will make little or slow progress. We also urge you to read books and do the homework that your therapist recommends. 

Secondly, we ask that you pursue  spiritual growth and healing through regular Christian worship attendance, through Bible and devotional reading, and through fellowship and service in the Body of Christ. Be willing to hear the voice of God speak to you through your studies and through the confirmation of His Body on earth.
